NOTD & Full Review - Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure in Purple Pulse

Oh no! Not another purple polish I hear you cry! But before you scamper off and skip this post, stick around - this ain't no ordinary polish. Oh no sir, these Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicures (gosh that was a mouthful) offer something a little bit different: Five products in one bottle.

That's right. You've got:
  1. Base coat
  2. Strengthener
  3. Growth Treatment
  4. Colour
  5. Top Coat
On the Sally Hansen website I'm also told the formulas are,"Chip resistant, noticeably smooth and brilliantly shiny for up to 10 days."

From the initial claims it sounds impressive. I get to have a highly pigmented colour combined with my first priority - top nail care. But is it too good to be true?

Luckily no! The polish has more than lived up to expectations. Okay, so colour aside for a second, the formulation is pretty dead on perfect for me (not runny). The brush is wider than a regular polish brush and angled at the edges. This means that it is super easy to apply - you can get right up to the cuticle very neatly, and in the corners and edges of the nail with very little need to clean up. The picture at the top shows my nails with two coats of Sally Hansen's Purple Pulse - five days after applying it. Seriously. I'm not kidding on that one, I was lazy taking a photo and thought I would have to re-paint them for the review but no need my friends!

Of course I love the colour, that goes without saying really and it definitely is now in the top five of 'Emmie's all time favourite purple polishes.' Also, it really is a rare mix to find a product that contains both quality nail care ingredients and a high pigmented colour.

With a range of approximately 30 colours I know I will be buying more of these babies. They are available from Boots (larger stores) otherwise they have them on their website HERE for £6.99.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts? Do let me know in the comments box below - I love reading what you have to say...

Ciao for now x

  2. Oh noo!! That is such rubbish news...I guess the formulations are different for each colour. I'm on the case and will test out a few more and put my reviews up. Sorry you had a bad experience with them - try the purple?! ;)
